Document Procurement & Consular Support

Apostille Services

Hague Convention certification, handled properly

An apostille certifies the authenticity of a public document for use in any country party to the Hague Apostille Convention. We obtain apostilles for personal, educational, and commercial documents.

Overview

What this service covers

For countries party to the Hague Apostille Convention, a single apostille certificate replaces the longer consular legalisation route. It is issued by the competent authority in the country where the document originated, and is accepted by every other member state.

We obtain apostilles for public documents including birth, marriage, and death certificates, academic transcripts and qualifications, criminal record checks, and company and commercial documents — confirming first that an apostille is in fact the correct route for your destination.

What's included

Scope of work

01

Convention check

Confirming the destination country accepts an apostille, so you are not sent down the wrong route.

02

Personal documents

Birth, marriage, and death certificates, criminal record checks, and other civil status documents.

03

Educational documents

Degree certificates, transcripts, and professional qualifications, including verification with the awarding institution where required.

04

Commercial documents

Certificates of incorporation, good standing, board resolutions, and commercial agreements.

05

Prerequisite notarisation

Where a document must be notarised or certified before it can be apostilled, we arrange that as part of the same instruction.

How it works

We are Aligned with your Business

Every Docurement engagement follows the same five stages, so you always know where a matter stands and who is responsible for it.

02

Scoped proposal

A clear, transparent breakdown of what is required and how our fees are structured, separate from any government or authority fees.

03

Engagement & authorisation

Formal engagement with the appropriate authorisation for us to act on your behalf with the relevant authorities.

04

Dedicated point of contact

A single, accountable contact manages your file from instruction through to completion.

05

Ongoing reporting

Regular updates on completed actions, items in progress, and anything approaching a deadline.

Why Docurement

What makes the difference

The shorter route where it applies

Where an apostille is sufficient, it is materially faster and cheaper than full consular legalisation. Knowing which applies matters.

Volume handled together

Batches of documents for a single assignment or family relocation are processed as one coordinated instruction.

Verified before submission

Documents that are not in an apostillable form are identified and corrected before fees are paid.

FAQs

Common questions

All states party to the Hague Apostille Convention — well over one hundred, including the UK, most of Europe, and the USA. Saudi Arabia acceded to the Convention, but requirements in practice still vary by receiving authority, so we confirm the position for your specific document and destination.

Only public documents, or private documents that have first been notarised. If your document does not qualify as issued, we advise on the notarisation or certification needed to make it eligible.

Often, yes. The apostille itself certifies authenticity, not language. Where the destination authority requires the document in another language, we arrange sworn translation.
